Fitness and Nutrition: Using positivity to your advantage
The greatest tool we have is our minds but just like the muscle groups that move our bodies, it too must be trained. Consciously we must take control and feed positive thoughts into our mind for our thoughts shape our reality. Continuous positivity is important because the second we feed a negative throught into our minds, it impacts us in one way or another. The most successful people continuously think in a positive mindset. Additionally, they live in the present and see themselves as already having what they are after. For example, one wouldn’t say: “boy, I know it’s going to be great to live healthy.” A more powerful tool to practice is thinking and telling yourself, “I’m so grateful that I AM healthy.”
What you feed the mind will influence your physical reality, that is a guarantee. The beauty of all this? You can start it any time you like! So why wait? Start now!

I was sick and now recovering! + weigh in
Ok so I haven’t been that active here because I was sick the last 2 weeks and couldn’t really exercise. So I wasn’t in the mood for fitness inspiration since I couldn’t do anything :D
But yeah, here again. I’m going to really focus on my nutrition, since it’s been shit on this time I’ve been sick. Or I just haven’t eaten enough.
Now that I’m well again I’m going to go full speed!!
Just weighed myself, and was 80,9kg. This is seriously the lowest weight I have been since… I don’t even remember. But I don’t feel that good right now because of the lack of exercise and I’m going to change that!!!

Bought some fruit to bring to work tomorrow
I won’t have a lunch break at work tomorrow so I have to bring food I can eat without preparing. Bought bananas, apples and grapes. I think I can manage with those.
ALSO, going to the gym 6.45am before I get to work. That is going to be interesting. My gym offers free breakfast every morning on work days but I’ve never been there that early..

$5 at the local produce stand.
Vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, etc., is an aspect commonly overlooked and overshadowed by macronutrient intake, such as protein. Without proper micronutrient intake however, all human processes can be impacted including aspects such as muscle building and fat loss. Spend some time analyzing your diet and adjusting accordingly, and the outcome can be huge.

Goals of the week
I was inspired to set weekly goals for myself by RAWRawn on youtube. He started doing it last week, and I decided to go along with him this week.
My goals for this week are:
-drink enough water every day
-exercise on at least 4 days (of which at least 2 would be at my gym)
-eat HOME-MADE soup on at least 2 days of this week
-don’t miss any days of school and do your homework diligently
I think that’s enough for this week. I’ll tell you guys how it went on Sunday!

How does one gain confidence?
I have had two close female friends tell me in the past two days that I need more confidence.
I always thought it would happen just naturally as I lost weight. That I would come of my shell more and not be shy because I would no longer be ashamed of my body and how I look.
Is it as easy as just waking up and saying “I’ll be more confident”? Is there ways to do it that I don’t know about?
What do you think?
Had to reblog because I can’t reply short enough. :D At least in my case I naturally gained more self-confidence after starting my healthy lifestyle. It didn’t happen right away, but little by little, I started to feel better about myself. And when I noticed all my progress and the weight I had lost, I got a sense of accomplishment. Now I feel attractive and good about myself even though I’m still overweight. (which I never thought would happen) I have noticed I feel more confident on the days I exercise. If I have a long break from exercising, I start feeling a little down and less confident and positive. I don’t know if this answers your question but.. Hope it was a good read at least.

running for a purpose: No one said it would be easy.
Without the motivation and encouragement of this community-people just like me, all working toward one common purpose to live a healthy and fulfilling life-chances are I would’ve failed a long time ago and dwelled in the promises of doing better tomorrow.
We all know what it takes to get healthy and we know what we should do. Why is it so hard sometimes? Because it’s not easy. But it’s worth it.
I spent hours with a friend last night listening to how a friend of hers’ father passed away at the raw age of only 49. It was a very sudden death, shocking to the entire family. The father was overweight, nearly 350 pounds. It turns out he was suffering from congestive heart failure due to the blocking of his arteries of nearly 90%. He also had diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
You’re never too far gone to turn around your life. Life-something so precious, a gift-shouldn’t be taken so lightly.
I want to not only meet my future grandchildren one day, but be able to run around and play with them. I don’t want to be clinging to my life on a hospital bed at 50 years old, wishing I had made changes earlier.
Don’t let life slip away from you—you only get one chance.
